Como parte da programação da Semana Nacional de Trânsito, a Secretaria Municipal de Mobilidade Urbana e Cooperação em Segurança Pública (Semob) realizou, nesta quarta-feira (24/09), uma ação de conscientização com orientações sobre trânsito seguro na Avenida Brasil, próximo ao restaurante Bom Prato, na região central de Presidente Prudente.
De acordo com o secretário da pasta, Adauto Bibiano, a iniciativa tem como objetivo orientar os pedestres sobre a travessia correta e segura na faixa. A ação incluiu distribuição de panfletos, diálogos com a população e instruções diretas no ponto de maior fluxo de pedestres da via.
O secretário destacou que, para garantir a segurança dos usuários, a Semob já implantou um dispositivo semafórico no local. Ele adiantou ainda que estão previstas novas intervenções, como a instalação de gradil e a construção de um canteiro central, medidas que irão reforçar a proteção aos pedestres.
A atividade integra a programação da Semana Nacional de Trânsito e foi realizada em um dos pontos mais movimentados da cidade, marcado pelo intenso fluxo de pedestres e veículos.
A ação contou com a participação de agentes de trânsito da Semob, Detran, Defesa Civil, Tiro de Guerra e Polícia Militar.
