Equipes da 2ª Companhia do 2º Batalhão da Polícia Militar Rodoviária foram acionadas para o registro e atendimento de um sinistro de trânsito com vítima fatal, ocorrido no final da noite da quinta-feira (18/09) pelo quilômetro 12,3 da Rodovia Júlio Budiski (SP-501) em Álvares Machado/SP.
O fato envolveu um automóvel e uma motocicleta e, conforme a versão do condutor do automóvel, ele transitava no sentido norte da referida rodovia, e ao atingir o citado quilômetro veio a atropelar o condutor da motocicleta que, por motivos a serem esclarecidos. estava caído sobre a faixa de trânsito juntamente com sua motocicleta,
O condutor da motocicleta, um jovem de 21 anos, que residia em Álvares Machado, entrou em óbito no local dos fatos. A morte foi atestada pela médica; pertencente ao grupo de resgate GRAU.
O condutor do automóvel, que não se lesionou, foi submetido ao teste do etilômetro, o qual apontou resultado negativo para presença de substância alcoólica no organismo.
O local foi devidamente periciado e o corpo removido pela funerária local. As investigações prosseguem no sentido de apurar a razão da queda da vítima fatal.
