A Defesa Civil de Presidente Prudente recebeu novos kits de combate a incêndios florestais durante o seminário “O Impacto das Mudanças Climáticas nas Cidades”, realizado nesta quarta-feira (17), em Assis (SP). O evento reuniu autoridades estaduais e municipais para discutir as consequências dos eventos críticos no Estado de São Paulo, a criação do Fundo Orçamentário Municipal de Defesa Civil e o inventário de emissão de poluentes como condição para obtenção de créditos de carbono. Entre os palestrantes estiveram o Cel. Coronel Araújo Monteiro e a Maj. Tatiana Rocha, ambos da Defesa Civil do Estado, finalizando com Joaquim Dutra Furtado Filho, Secretário de Meio Ambiente de Cordeirópolis/SP. Representando Presidente Prudente, participaram da solenidade o Coordenador Municipal de Proteção e Defesa Civil, Luis Felipe Floriano, e o Coordenador Regional Adjunto de Proteção e Defesa Civil, Renato Gouvea, que acompanharam a retirada dos kits. Segundo a Coordenadoria, os novos equipamentos vão fortalecer o trabalho dos brigadistas locais e garantir mais eficiência nas ações de prevenção e combate aos incêndios florestais, que aumentam significativamente no período de estiagem.
