Na manhã deste domingo, uma viatura da Defesa Civil de Presidente Prudente se deparou com animais soltos circulando na Avenida Juscelino Kubitschek. A presença de bovinos na via representava risco à vida de motoristas e ciclistas que utilizam a ciclofaixa existente no local.
Os brigadistas conseguiram conter os dois bovinos e encaminhá-los para uma área de pastagem. A ocorrência vai ser encaminhada aos órgãos competentes.
Situações desse tipo não são incomuns e já resultaram em tragédias na região. Recentemente, em 26 de maio, um motociclista de 40 anos faleceu após colidir com um cavalo solto na Rodovia Arlindo Béttio (SP-613), em Rosana. O impacto causou uma sequência de acidentes envolvendo dois veículos, resultando em ferimentos e uma morte.
Alerta aos motoristas e ciclistas: ao trafegar por vias onde é comum a presença de animais, redobre a atenção, especialmente em horários de menor movimento e à noite, quando a visibilidade é reduzida. A presença de animais soltos pode gerar acidentes graves.
A Defesa Civil reforça que a população deve acionar imediatamente os órgãos responsáveis sempre que identificar animais em áreas de tráfego.
