Equipes da Polícia Militar Rodoviária, em parceria com a Polícia Federal, prenderam na manhã deste domingo (21/09) um carreteiro que transportava quase cinco toneladas de maconha.
A abordagem aconteceu por volta das 7h30 da manhã, pelo quilômetro 579 da Rodovia Raposo Tavares (SP-270), no município de Álvares Machado quando foi abordado o veículo Scania que tracionava um semirreboque e, durante a fiscalização o condutor apresentou grande nervosismo bem como respostas desencontradas, o que motivou a realização de uma vistoria veicular minuciosa. Na fiscalização, foi localizado no interior do Baú, uma grande quantidade da droga maconha, que após pesada totalizou em quatro 4.890 quilos da droga.
O condutor, um homem de 37 anos, morador na cidade de Campinas/SP foi preso em flagrante.
A ocorrência foi encaminhada para a Delegacia da Polícia Federal de Presidente Prudente/SP, onde o veículo e a carga foram apreendidos e o indiciado permaneceu preso à disposição da Justiça
