Equipes da Polícia Militar Ambiental que realizavam patrulhamento náutico pelas águas do Rio Paraná, na estância turística de Ilha Solteira/SP. durante os trabalhos foi abordada uma embarcação nas proximidades da Usina Hidrelétrica Ilha Solteira, ocupada por três homens e, após vistoria no barco foi localizada uma espingarda carabina, de calibre 22 e duas munições.
Indagados a respeito da arma, um dos envolvidos, de 48 anos, assumiu a propriedade da arma e informou que não teria o documento de porte obrigatório. Diante dos fatos foi dada voz de prisão em flagrante ao possuidor da arma que, em seguida, foi encaminhado juntamente com a arma e munições à Delegacia de Polícia local, onde a autoridade elaborou o auto de prisão em flagrante por porte ilegal de arma de fogo. Após ser ouvido o envolvido pagou fiança e foi liberado, sendo que a arma e munições ficaram apreendidas.
