Em uma operação integrada que envolveu equipes da Polícia Rodoviária Federal; Polícia Federal e Polícia Militar de Goiás/GO; integrantes das especializadas COD/COC/ARI/CPE de Anápolis/GO; 3º CRPM; Polícia Militar Rodoviária/SP e policiais do 8º BAEP (Batalhão de Ações Especiais de Polícia)/SP, resultou na apreensão de quase das toneladas de drogas, no município de Presidente Epitácio/SP.
As investigações que já acompanhavam as ações do crime, culminou com a prisão de um motorista e a apreensão de um caminhão que seguia do estado do Mato Grosso do Sul para São Paulo e transportava 1.790,400kg de maconha.
Durante a ação, integrantes das equipes avistaram um veículo que aparentava ser batedor, que empreendeu fuga, logo em seguida localizaram o caminhão suspeito, que foi abordado na divisa dos estados de MS e SP.
A carga foi vistoriada na base da PMRv de Presidente Epitácio/SP, sendo localizado grande quantidade de drogas no veículo. A ocorrência foi apresentada na Polícia Federal de Presidente Prudente, onde a autoridade confirmou a prisão em flagrante do motorista.
